Sunday's Can Assist Junee Markets were a wonderful success, with perfect winter weather, a fantastic community atmosphere and plenty of new attractions for visitors to enjoy.

The sunshine brought locals and visitors alike to the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club car park, where the markets were buzzing with activity from start to finish.

One of the highlights of the day was welcoming several new stallholders, adding even more variety to an already popular market. Visitors enjoyed browsing an impressive range of handmade products, delicious local produce and unique gifts while supporting small businesses from across the region.

There was certainly no shortage of delicious food. The Junee Rural Fire Brigade Community BBQ was a huge hit, serving up tasty bacon and egg rolls, sausage sandwiches and drinks while raising funds for the brigade. The smell of woodfired pizzas filled the air, tempting visitors throughout the morning, while market-goers also enjoyed freshly baked cakes, slices, biscuits and sweet treats.

Food lovers stocked up on a wonderful selection of homemade goodies including jams, preserves, sauces and local produce, perfect for taking a little taste of the Riverina home.

The markets also showcased an outstanding collection of handcrafted timber products, beautiful plants and flowers, artisan gifts and quality handmade creations, giving shoppers plenty of reasons to wander through every stall.

Adding to the welcoming atmosphere was live entertainment, providing the perfect soundtrack as families caught up with friends, enjoyed a coffee and explored everything the markets had to offer.

The Can Assist Junee Markets are all about supporting local businesses, community groups and volunteers while creating a welcoming place for everyone to enjoy. Sunday's market was a fantastic example of what can be achieved when the community comes together.

The Can Assist Junee Markets are excited to introduce a delicious new attraction for market visitors – fresh woodfired pizzas made on site.

Join us on Sunday 5th July from 10:30am to 12:30pm and enjoy authentic woodfired pizzas prepared fresh throughout the morning. Whether you're a fan of traditional favourites or looking to try something a little different, there will be plenty of options available, including mouth-watering dessert pizzas.

This exciting addition is part of our commitment to creating an enjoyable market experience for visitors while supporting local businesses and encouraging more people to visit the markets.

After browsing the stalls, catching up with friends, and supporting local vendors, take a break and enjoy a freshly cooked pizza straight from the woodfired oven.

The Junee Rural Fire Brigade will be hosting a Community BBQ at the Can Assist Junee Markets on Sunday 5th July from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Come along and enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch while supporting the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to protect our local community. From responding to emergencies to assisting during fire season, our Rural Fire Brigade volunteers play a vital role in keeping Junee safe.

Bring your family and friends, enjoy the markets, and grab a bacon and egg roll, sausage sandwich, or a hot drink. Every purchase helps support local community initiatives and celebrates the volunteers who give so much of their time to help others.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank the Junee Rural Fire Brigade for their ongoing service to our community.

We're excited to share that the Can Assist Junee Markets will officially launch on Sunday 5 July 2026 at the Junee Ex-Services Club Carpark.

Markets will run from 8am to 1pm on the 1st Sunday of every month (9am – 12:30pm in winter), bringing together local makers, growers, bakers and community groups.

All proceeds support the Can Assist Cancer Assistance Network, helping local families affected by cancer.

We're now taking stall applications for the inaugural market and beyond. Sites are available in three sizes — 3m × 3m ($20), 3m × 6m ($40) and 3m × 9m ($60). Power is available for an additional $20 (limited spaces).

Whether you're a long-time market regular or thinking about giving it a go for the first time, we'd love to hear from you.

Each market day, one local club or community group can run the Community BBQ and keep all the proceeds for their cause.
